Play Modes
International rules apply, with the following exceptions:
- Central starting and closing whistle
- Match time is limited to 2 x 12,5 minutes
- Time per set is 12,5 minutes; the last ball will be played to a regular end; a draw is a possible outcome
- A decided set scores 2 points for the winner, a draw 1 point each
- Placement matches: When set points and ball points after the central whistle for the second set are the same, one further, deciding point has to be played to determine a winner. No draws here.
- If 25 points are reached (with 2 points difference) in the first set before the 12,5min whistle goes, change sides and start the 2nd set immidiately
- If a team is 5 or more minutes late, the set is considered lost (0:2) (0:25)
- No time outs; no breaks between sets
- There will be a 5 minute warm-up before every match
Placement matches
- When set points and ball points after the central whistle for the second set are the same, one further, deciding point has to be played to determine a winner. No draws here.
Final Matches
- No time limit. Two sets must be won to win the game (best of 3).
- If necessary, a third, 15-point set will be played.
- At the finals, the rule of "2 points difference" applies always.
- One time-out (30 seconds) per set.
Course
Level C
- Each team plays against every other team in a first and second round (as in the league).
- The placement is calculated from the results, there will be no placement matches.
Level A/B+ and B-
- Preliminary round:
- Each level will be divided for preliminaries into 2 groups of 6 teams.
- In the group stage each team plays against every other team of its group.
- The result is a preliminary table, and the placings will indicate the level for the next stage:
- Level A will be formed of the 1st to 4th places of the A/B+ groups.
- Level B+ will be formed of the 5th and 6th places of A/B+ groups and the 1st and 2nd places of the B- groups.
- Level B- will be formed of the 3rd to 6th places of the B- groups.
- Second round:
- In each level there will be 2 groups of 4 teams.
- Each team plays against every other team of its group.
- Placement round:
- Final placement will be decided by matches 1st versus 1st, 2nd versus 2nd, ... out of the two groups of each level.
